Structural I-Beams and C-Purlins reinforced with sag rods make up the composition of the framing support of the roof. The roofing profile is `rib type’ made up of pre-painted galvanized sheet with underlying insulation to minimize the heat from the sun. Any exposed woodwork i.e. doors and door frames are all finished with Sadolin, a more expensive alternative to varnish or polyurethane, but certainly more effective at preserving the finish of the wood and the wood itself for a longer period of time. All exposed metalwork are pre-coated with epoxy primer and finished with an acrylic paint finish which all together helps to prolong the finish of the metal however exposed to the elements. The overall `finished’ design is that of a modern contemporary style, all of which, together with the choice of fittings, hardware (mostly Hafele), granite, tiles, bathroom showcase, the different hues of neutral colours in each area and landscaping design & execution are a reflection of my direction and influence. But the most important aspect of the building process is the actual construction of the house from its foundations and the overall structural integrity up to finish including the plumbing and electrical installations, these areas of the construction has been diligently supervised (daily from 7am – 5pm)
